Beechwood Care Centre celebrates its everyday heroes with superhero party
Residents, relatives and team members at Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington donned their capes for a superhero-themed celebration in support of Alzheimer’s Society.
The home held its Superhero Summer Party on Friday 28 August, bringing everyone together for a day of music, crafts, activities, refreshments and plenty of superhero-themed fun.
A day of superhero fun
Residents, relatives and team members got into the superhero spirit throughout the day, enjoying the opportunity to spend time together and take part in something a little different.
The celebration formed part of Highgate Care’s wider Superhero Summer initiative, which recognises the everyday heroes who make a difference to residents and their local communities.
Alongside the fun, the party raised money for Alzheimer’s Society, supporting the charity’s work with people living with dementia and their families.
Supporting Alzheimer’s Society
With September marking World Alzheimer’s Month, the celebration gave Beechwood an opportunity to recognise its own everyday heroes while supporting a cause that is particularly important to the home.
Claire Gill, Front of House Manager at Beechwood Care Centre, said:
“It was lovely to see residents, families and team members coming together and getting into the superhero spirit.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day, with plenty of music, crafts, activities and laughter for everyone to enjoy.
“Our Superhero Summer Party was all about celebrating the everyday heroes who make a difference to the lives of our residents and our local community, while also raising money for Alzheimer’s Society. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special.”
Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, is part of Highgate Care and provides residential, dementia and specialist care.
