Welcome to Maple Lodge, located close to the village of Catterick on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with beautiful views of the surrounding area. The home is within reach of shops, amenities and public transport.

Each of our 40 ensuite bedrooms is furnished to a high standard offering Residents the chance to enjoy comfort and tranquillity. At Maple Lodge providing independence and choice is very important – One reason we try and encourage residents to personalise their rooms with their own belongings to help them feel at home.

We believe that life at Maple Lodge should include the best care, the best of life in the best environment.

All Highgate Care residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life. Our person-centred care ethos puts resident’s health and wellbeing central to everything providing a truly holistic care package.

The facilities at Maple Lodge allow residents to enjoy other everyday routines that promote independence, from using the in-house beauty lounge enjoying the gardens and terraces or simply catching up with friends in the comfortable lounges.

Our home has a busy activities timetable, built around the key goals of mental stimulation, increased mobility and social engagement. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, gardening, exercise classes, cinema nights, quizzes, musical performances, and pamper sessions. Each activity is designed to enhance life skills and give a feeling of purpose and self-worth. There will be a great variety of activities to try, with new activities added frequently.

The in-house chefs will prepare exceptional food from fresh, seasonal produce that’s locally sourced where possible. Menus will include a mix of delicious and nutritious options including traditional classic meals, Residents’ favourites and exciting international cuisine.

Maple Lodge is proud to be part of the Dementia Friends campaign and other charities to support research on what practices best support people living with dementia to positively influence policy and practice for dementia care in care homes across the UK.

Bianca Stefania Pavel: Dedicated Home Manager with a Global Perspective and Inclusive Values

Meet Bianca Stefania Pavel, the passionate Home Manager at Maple Lodge, renowned for her strong belief in inclusivity, diversity, and the celebration of kindness. With a diverse background and a wealth of experience, Bianca brings a unique perspective to her role.

Professional Journey:

Bianca’s journey in the healthcare sector began in Romania, where she graduated as a qualified general nurse from Hippocrates Nursing University in 2014. Since then, she has been dedicated to the care sector in the United Kingdom, steadily progressing in her career. She has achieved a Level 5 NVQ in children and adults social care, completed a Higher-Level Apprenticeship in General Adult Social Care, and served as a Deputy Manager.

Career Progression:

Over eight years, Bianca has proudly served as a General Nurse, Deputy Manager, and Care Manager before assuming her current role as the Registered Home Manager at Maple Lodge. Her commitment to continuous learning and growth is evident in her varied experiences within the care sector.

Personal Touch:

As a single child and proud daughter, Bianca maintains a strong connection with her parents in Romania. Her son, Elijah, is the centre of her world, and she dedicates her free time to creating lasting memories with him.

Global Perspective:

Bianca’s academic background in international languages, including English, Spanish, Latin, and German, along with her proficiency in Italian, reflects her global perspective. Having lived in Italy and travelled extensively, Bianca embraces diversity and values cultural understanding.

Passions Beyond Work:

In addition to her professional pursuits, Bianca is an avid lover of rugby, music, and literature. Her wide-ranging interests contribute to a well-rounded and vibrant personality that enhances her leadership at Maple Lodge.
