Our latest community outing took residents on a special tour of Mansfield Town Football Club, where they explored the stadium, met some of the players, and enjoyed a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Bringing Back Football Memories
Mansfield Town Football Club, known as The Stags, has been a key part of the local community since its founding in 1897. Many of our residents have strong connections to the club, having followed the team for years or attended matches with loved ones. This visit allowed them to reconnect with fond memories, share stories, and experience the excitement of the stadium once again.
During the tour, residents explored the grounds, took a look inside the changing rooms, and even had the opportunity to meet some of the players. It was a fantastic experience for all, with residents reflecting on their personal football-related memories. One resident shared, “I remember coming here when my husband was a footballer—it was wonderful to visit again.”
