I have been a Registered General Nurse for 28 years, having worked predominantly in elderly care. My first Registered managers position was in a large complex mental health service where we supported people with functional and organic mental health conditions, many of whom had stepped down from secure services.
I have held a number of senior management positions supporting nursing homes, care homes and Home Care across 4 different care home providers including: Director of Care Home Operations, Operations Director, Chief Operating Officer and now Managing Director at Highgate Care.
I believe that the strength of any business is its people and that hard work brings its own rewards, I also don’t believe you can positively lead your people from an office so I spend 80% of my time out and about in our homes. I am privileged to be surrounded by care home teams, managers and a regional team who are all equally committed to ensuring quality care is delivered to our residents across all our homes. Kindness is key to everything we do at Highgate Care and is one of our core values.
