Highgate Care - Meet the Team

Joanne Fogg

Managing Director

I have been a Registered General Nurse for 28 years, having worked predominantly in elderly care. My first Registered Managers position was in a large complex mental health service where we supported people with functional and organic mental health conditions, many of whom had stepped down from secure services.

I have held a number of senior management positions supporting nursing homes, care homes and Home Care across 4 different care home providers including: Director of Care Home Operations, Operations Director, Chief Operating Officer and now Managing Director at Highgate Care.

I believe that the strength of any business is its people and that hard work brings its own rewards, I also don’t believe you can positively lead your people from an office so I spend 80% of my time out and about in our homes. I am privileged to be surrounded by care home teams, Managers and a Regional Team who are all equally committed to ensuring quality care is delivered to our residents across all our homes. Kindness is key to everything we do at Highgate Care and is one of our core values.

Dolores Pooley

Regional Manager

I have worked in the care sector for over 32 years: I started my care career as a Care Assistant in a nursing home, where the home manager taught me the skills to deliver the care my residents needed. I realised after the first day this was what I was meant to do with my life.

I quickly progressed to Senior Care Assistant, I then moved to the NHS working as an auxiliary nurse on the emergency admission unit where I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience.

I was then asked to join a pilot scheme for the NHS for the first Rapid Response team in County Durham which I did before deciding to start my own domiciliary care company which I ran successfully for over 14 years. Thereafter, I joined a care provider and successfully ran a 74-bed nursing home prior to progressing into a Regional Manager role.

I absolutely feel my career to date has helped me to understand the role of Care Assistant and what care should look and feel like for our residents. It is very important to me that our staff and Managers understand that to care for people is an absolute privilege and the love and care we provide them with should give them and their loved ones the fondest memories to cherish.

Michael Campling

Regional Manager

I have worked in the health and social care sector for 22 years.

In this time, I have had the opportunity to manage various elderly care services specialising in mental health and learning disabilities sectors.

I have attained my RMA and Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care and I am also a qualified trainer.

I have a keen interest in providing and maintaining high quality and meaningful care for all of our residents.

I am excited to continue this work as part of the Highgate Care team in my role as Regional Manager.
